A compact event!

The O-Festival makes the most of a unique feature of the Norwegian capital Oslo: the short distance between the city and the woods. Welcome to the O-Festival 2009 - a compact event!

Few other cities in the world have quite such a special link between their built-up area and the woods. This is also the background for the ongoing work with a new law to secure this relationship to "Oslomarka" also in the future.

By placing the arena for the O-Festival in the border zone between the city and the woods we can make the most of the city facilities for transport and accessibility. See overview map here.

Accommodation

Bogstad Camping, with all facilities is 20 minutes beautiful walk from the arena. For accommodation in schools we have an offer at Voksen School, 25 minutes walk from the arena.

Bus and train

There are buses to Voksen skog, which stop at Bogstad Camping. For travel to the arena you can take the "T-bane" train, line 2 (towards Østerås) every 15 minutes from the centre to the arena. From the stations Ekraveien and Eiksmarka you have a walk of about 20 minutes to the arena.

Bring your bike!

For many participants and functionairies, Fossum is just a nice short bike ride away. For those coming from further afield who will be staying at either Bogstad or Voksen School, bringing a bike would also be a good option.
